For over 50 years, Weir Insurance have called Stanley Street in Blyth home. It is here that we have honed our skills and grown into one of the largest independent brokers in the North-east. 

The community plays a huge part in our business plan, and we pride ourselves on being a local business, who recruits local people, supports other local businesses and residents.

Our company would be nothing without the amazing people working in it, and we have learned to appreciate how important it is to recognise each employee’s natural individual superpower and playing to these strengths.

Equally we all acknowledge the importance of constant learning and self-development, and we provide the time and financial support they need to develop. Our longest member of staff has been with us for 49 years which we think speaks for itself.

We are always looking towards the future, and we have developed a Weir Insurance Apprenticeship Programme. This is designed to harness young individuals with natural talent and enthusiasm, and share our knowledge of the industry with them. Our aim is to nurture  and inspire the next generation of insurance specialists, and create a lasting legacy to the Insurance industry and the North East region.

Although we may not need to visit your premises, it’s is good to know we have the option.

In order to obtain a better understanding of your business we may request to come visit your premises on occasion. If this is not possible, it may be that we are not the right Broker for you.
