Customer feedback scores 10 out of 10!

When asked if we trested him fairly, 1 customer had the following to say this week

"I was treated courtesly and everything was explained in great detail very easy to understand. The lady had also searched and found an alternative and cheaper insurance, for which I was very grateful. Weir insurance has been my broker for several years and will continue to be so whilst I am still driving."

Well done to Jenny for looking after her customer so well!

Accountants, Surveyors, Architects and Solicitors have traditionally been aware of the need to obtain insurance cover in the event of a claim against them for a breach in their professional duty.

The modern term for a "Professional" can be considered to be any person who offers "specialist advice or service" which includes a myriad of new and emerging disciplines. Business consultants, IT consultants, PR firms, soil analysts, environmental engineers (and so the list continues), could all be included in this new term as "Professionals".

These businesses provide advice and/or carry out a specialist service on behalf of clients, and as such they owe a duty of care to that client - they may be found legally liable when the advice causes a problem for the client.

Holiday insurance at Weir Insurance

Every year thousands of holidays are ruined due to unfortunate events befalling holidaymakers, however, by purchasing suitable holiday insurance cover the effects could be reduced to allow you to remember your well earned break for the right reasons.
  •  A problem may occur even before you travel, perhaps an injury or illness preventing you from going on holiday. Get peace of mind - protect your holiday fees by effective insurance cover.
  •  Unfortunately, many holidaymakers are the victims of theft, perhaps because normal levels of vigilance are reduced – make sure that you can relax and enjoy your break, safe in the knowledge that your possessions are protected.
  • Lost luggage? If your bag flies off to Hong Kong when it should be with you in New York. - Effective insurance will allow you to buy replacement clothes and emergency items.

Staff at Weir Insurance have selected a panel of insurance products to give clients the cover they need for those important breaks.Karen Weir said: “We are one of the longest established independent insurance brokers in the North East, and we are very keen to ensure that our clients have the widest cover available at the most competitive premiums. Many people don’t take out holiday insurance because they think the premiums will be too high, or perhaps they think, “it’ll not happen to us” – well, unfortunately it can and does happen! If you take more than one holiday in any year (including breaks in the UK) you could save money by buying an annual contract compared to specific policies for each holiday.Competitive premiums and the best cover – that’s what our staff will arrange for you.”

Local Floods

Insurance can sometimes seem like a luxury when setting up a business, but can we really afford to be without it? Our clients, amongst the homeowners and businesses caught in the floods, will be comforted by the fact that they had the right cover in place and that they are receiving the support of Weir Insurance and the major UK insurers.  We are happy to roll up our sleeves and help in times of trouble (we even have our own office water pump!), but making sure you are covered before the unexpected strikes is our main goal.
